Today we are starting a new chapter for Cinevite to pave the way for something exciting, innovative, and new Cinestruct is building for independent filmmakers and for the future of independent film. The new platform will be a companion to Cinevite that we believe will be a game changer for how independent films are discovered.
We’re not quite ready for the big reveal but on the way there, here are some changes you’ll now see on the Cinevite platform.
Add any project to Cinevite at any time, even if it is not an official selection at a partner event.
New ‘Lets Collaborate’ section on project pages to connect filmmaking teams with needed partners and collaborators.
Leave a message for any official selection at partner events, even if they are not using Cinevite.
Raise funds through Cinevite at any time and get special perks when raising funds during partner events - this is now enabled for filmmakers that used Cinevite through past partner events this year.
Reduced fundraising platform fee from 15% to 7% - giving more money to filmmakers!
Increased fundraising limit to $2500 per transaction!
Promo Kit content is now promoted across all Cinevite partner events, giving participating filmmakers more reach!
Reduced pricing on all Promo Kit content services and big discounts (up to 30% off) for official selections and students at partner events.
These changes are designed to make Cinevite more open and as flexible as possible for filmmakers to use. At the same time, the platform provides tremendous value leading up to and during events where their films are featured.
Filmmakers can now use Cinevite from their project’s inception through to the end of their festival run to discover and connect with collaborators, promote themselves, and raise funds at any stage of their project’s lifecycle.
With this new chapter, we’re also saying goodbye to the Cinevite mobile app so filmmakers can access the most valuable features Cinevite has to offer on any device without distracting legacy features.
We can’t wait for filmmakers to take advantage of the changes we’ve made to Cinevite. We built this platform because we believe there is tremendous opportunity to support filmmakers as they navigate the complexities involved in successfully showcasing their projects. These changes moves us closer to meeting that opportunity.
As we shift development focus to the new platform we’re building, we will be applying all that we’ve learned so far with Cinevite and we want to continue learning from the independent filmmaking community. To that end, we welcome any feedback you have on the Cinevite platform and we’ll be reaching out in the coming weeks and months to get your feedback on what we’re building.
